Een mooi fris droge Pouilly met aroma's van citrusfruit en mooie mineralitet. De smaak is verfijnd met een mooie balans tussen het citrus fruit, wat grassige invloeden een  zijdezacht zuurtje en de  minerale invloeden van het terroir met veel fossiele schelpen. De wijn heeft een afdronk met mooie lengte.

Deze Pouilly past goed bij op de huid gegrilde en gebakken vis, scampi’s, wit vlees en kip,  bij oesters en schaaldieren en (geiten)kaas

Grape : 100 % Sauvignon Blanc. - Vineyard surface : 4 Ha 50, aged between 25 and 40 years old. - Soil : Kimmeridgean marl (white clay and fossilised shells and oysters). - Exposition : South-south east. - Production : Between 30 and 34 000 bottles depending on years. - Work in the vines : The vines are regularly tilled to oxygenate the ground, pruning is short, organic philosophy : No use of chemical fertiliser, nor insecticide, nor weed-killer. - Vinification : Immediate destemming and immediate press after harvest to avoid skin contact or oxidation. Very gentle press in our pneumatic press, fermentation in stainless steel tanks after cold settling, long conservation on very fine lees to enhance texture and youth character, no malolactic fermentation. -
Keeping : Up to 5 years, apogee in the 2nd and 3rd year. - Wine-master’s advice : Served chilled at 12°C. It is ideal alone as an aperitif. It is the perfect match with seafood, all fishes (raw, cooked, grilled or smoked) but also with poultry or white meats. It is also great with cheeses, particularly goat cheeses 

Over het Domaine:

Michelle and Jean-Michel Masson created Domaine Masson-Blondelet when they got married, in 1975, being the sixth generation of vine-growers and producers of pouilly fume in the family. The estate is 21 hectares in size, which are planted on the best sites in the heart of the Appellation Pouilly-Fume (AOC). We also have got some vines in Sancerre, which come from Michelle’s father. 
We are vine-growers and producers of pouilly fume which means that we only sell the wine that comes from our own production, contrary to wine-merchant-maturers.
For 12 years now, our children work with us on the estate. After his degree in the viticultural high-school of Mâcon-Davayé, Pierre-François, now directs the workers team in the vineyard. He also manages the making of the wines in the cellar. His sister, Mélanie gives the hand in the cellar during the harvest and supervises the sales of the estate.They are the seventh generation

The whole team is 9 people in total, working as well in the vines as in the cellar.
