Verrassend zuiver wit uit Armenië van Karas Winery. 

In het glas lichtgeel gekleurd met rijke aroma's van wit en zacht geel fruit. De smaak is mooi zuiver en fris, fijn zuren met veel smaak. Wit en geel fruit, meloen, abrikoos, perzik voeren de boventoon naast een mooie hoeveelheid mineralen, iets salie en verfijnd zilte indrukken. De afdronk heeft een mooie lengte en behoud het zachte fruit.

Over Karas Wines: 
Karas Vineyards are located at 40 North Latitude
in the North Western part of Armenia, at an
altitude of 1000-1100 meters above the sea level.

Surrounded by mountain ranges the terroir of Karas vineyards, furthermore
defined by the volcanic and basalt soil and almost extreme continental
climate. This gives unsurpassed boldness and expression to Karas Wines.

In 2003 the pursuit for developing an inspiring project lead us
to discover these lands rich in minerals and suitable for high
quality wine making.

Over 400 hectares devoted to the planting of the
vineyards. Both international and indigenous varietals
are planted in the vineyards, including Chardonnay,
Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Kangun, Voskehat for
whites and Areni, Malbec, Tannat, Merlot, Cabernet
Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon for reds.

We are constantly looking for innovative ways of
working and taking care of our resources,
implementing sustainable practices such as the drip
and gravitational irrigation system that preserves
water and energy, light weight bottles to decrease
our carbon foot print and the use of materials
sourced locally to promote Armenian industry.

Our team is formed by 400 full time employees and
500 extra workers during harvest time.

Wijnmaker: Gabriel Rogel was born in Mendoza,
Argentina, one of the world capitals of wine.
With a degree in Enology, Gabriel has
managed to gain great experience in his
career as an enologist. He managed to
assimilate the key concepts for different
elaborations. He aims at getting great wines,
combining technology and innovation with
the traditions of each terroir.

Wijnadviseur:Michel Rolland. World famous Bordeaux enologist
Mr. Rolland has over 40 years of experience in
winemaking. He owns as well as consults some of
the world’s leading wineries including Chateau Le
Bon Pasteur (France), Val de Flores and Clos de Los
Siete (Argentina) and many others.

Tierras de Armenia is a venture born out of a desire to contribute and impact positively on
the community where it is located, environmentally, socially and economically. The project is
based on two fundamental values: respect and sustainability. Hundreds of men and women
from Arevadasht work the fields alongside specialists creating a unique bond between the
project and the community.
